Kana Yatabe was born in 1980 in Japan. In 2000 she graduated from SUGINO Fashion College in Tokyo.
Afterwards, she worked as a fashion designer with a young casual brand in Tokyo for 5 years. One of her best-regarded achievements was a design that sold 10,000 T-shirts boosting a big media campaign.
In 2008 Kana moved to London where she studied English and interned for the leading and uniquely British brand, Paul Smith.
In 2012 Kana returned to Japan and started working freelance creating her own designs. Her creative skills include logo, branding, identity and web design, alongside her work in the fashion world.
Recently she became involved in the production of DOW and designed their distinctive number plate logo. At the moment she is designing for a new Japanese cosmetic brand.
